Do I have to Jewish to attend a Shabbat with 10 Strangers dinner?
No, you most certainly do not!
Can I attend more than one dinner per quarter?
You may only attend one Shabbat dinner per quarter, but there are about four Shabbat dinners hosted each quarter. If you are interested in attending Shabbat dinner again, just sign up, and we'll put you on a wait list!
What if I'm signed up for a dinner but then find out I can't make it?
We understand things unexpectedly come up, but in respect of the hosts who have gone through the trouble to plan the dinner, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you discover you are unable to attend a Shabbat With 10 Strangers dinner. There are people on the wait list who would love to take your spot at a dinner. If you cancel or simply do not show up to dinner, you will be ineligible to participate next quarter.
What if I have allergies or certain dietary restrictions?
We work hard to accommodate guests. Shabbat dinner hosts are made aware of each guest's food allergies and dietary concerns in advance before they prepare the dinner menu. Students who may have pet allergies or keep Kosher are assigned to a dinner host who can ensure a safe and positive experience for the student.
